Terms of Use

These terms of use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Final Take mobile app and the finaltakeapp.com website. By installing the app or using the website, you agree to these Terms.

2. The service

Final Take is a speech-rehearsal app: it estimates how long a text takes to say, follows your voice while you rehearse, measures your pace and your gap to a target time, and offers practice features (teleprompter, warm-up, Q&A, trim suggestions).

The finaltakeapp.com website presents the app and offers a free word counter and text analyzer that runs in your browser.

3. Access

The app requires a compatible device (iOS or Android) and, for voice tracking, permission to use the microphone and speech recognition. Some features need an Internet connection. You are responsible for your device and connection.

4. Subscriptions and free trial

• Final Take offers auto-renewing subscriptions (monthly, quarterly or yearly). Prices are shown in the app, in your currency, before any purchase.
• Some plans include a 7-day free trial. Unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the paid subscription starts automatically.
• Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
• Refunds are handled under Apple’s and Google’s policies.
• If prices change, you will be informed in advance according to the relevant store’s rules.

5. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for personal or internal business purposes. You may not copy, modify, decompile, disassemble or attempt to extract the app’s source code, resell it, or use it to harm the service or other users.

On iOS, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies alongside these Terms.

6. Your content

You remain the sole owner of the texts you add to the app or paste into the word counter, and you confirm you have the rights to them. When you use an assistance feature, you allow us to process the relevant text only to provide the response you requested (see our privacy policy).

7. Estimates and suggestions

Durations, pace, readability scores and trim suggestions are indicative estimates based on automated calculations. They may contain errors and do not replace your own judgement. Always review the final content of your talk.

8. Free website tool

The word counter is provided free of charge, “as is”, without any guarantee of accuracy or availability. Character limits shown for third-party platforms are indicative and may change.

9. Intellectual property

The Final Take name, logo, app, website and their content (texts, articles, visuals, code) are protected by intellectual property laws. Any unauthorised reproduction is prohibited.

10. Availability

We do our best to keep the service available and working, but cannot guarantee it will be free of interruptions or errors. We may change, suspend or discontinue all or part of the features, in particular for maintenance or security reasons.

11. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the service. Nothing in these Terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under applicable law.

12. Termination

You can stop using Final Take at any time and delete your data from Settings → Delete all my data. We may suspend access in case of serious breach of these Terms.

13. Personal data

How we process your data is described in our privacy policy.

14. Governing law and disputes
